What is an International Baccalaureate (IB) Education?

The IB MYP provides a framework of learning that encourages, creative, critical, and reflective thinking. The IB MYP develops international-mindedness based on communicationintercultural understanding, and global engagement - essential qualities for leadership in a rapidly changing world. At Norterra Canyon, all 6th-8th grade students participate in the IB Middle Years Program.

International Baccalaureate Mission

The International Baccalaureate Organization aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable, and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. To this end, the IBO works with school, governments, and international organizations to develop challenging programmes of international education and rigorous assessment.
