I am Ms. Tricia and I am so excited to be your teacher this year. This will be my 30th year teaching. I received my degree in Early Childhood Special Education at ASU! Go Devils!

I have 2 kids and a crazy puppy that keep me busy. My son, Hunter, just turned 27 and is a graduate from NAU. My daughter, Taylor, just turned 23 and is enjoying married life. I am very proud of both of my kids! (yes, I know they are adults, but still my babies) I was recently engaged and am excited to plan a wedding!!!!

In my classroom, singing, dancing, and music will fill our days as we get messy and explore sensory play, while discovering new textures, vocabulary, and experiences. Throughout it all, we’ll encourage each child’s individual independence and needs, supporting everyone as they try new things and express themselves. I believe that learning should be hands-on, full of content and rigor, creative, and memorable!

 

Items to Bring:

• A full-sized backpack, one that can fit a folder.
• A change of clothes to leave at school for accidents/emergencies (this includes shoes, socks, underwear, shorts/pants, shirt).
• If your child is not potty trained yet, bring a pack of diapers and wipes. Staff will let you know when more is needed.
• A water bottle each day, with your child’s name on it. Water only, please.

What to Wear:

• Closed-toed shoes for playground safety. The playground has large wood chips and sand.
• If your child is not yet able to tie their own laced shoes, please have them wear shoes without laces. Velcro is easiest for us and your child.
• Play clothes, we will get messy!
• Shorts underneath skirts and dresses.

Parent/Guardian To-Do’s

• Check your child's folder in their backpack every day .  Information and projects will go home.
• Make sure all your child’s belongings are labeled with your child’s name.
• If your child will be absent, call the attendance line and let your child's teacher know.
• If your child is a bus rider, you must also call Transportation at 602-467-5070.

AM Session Drop-Off Procedures:

• You will drop off your child at the kindergarten/preschool gate at 8:45 a.m. for the AM session.
• You must exit your car to sign your child in each day.

PM Session Drop-Off Procedures:

•  You will drop off your child at the  kindergarten/preschool gate at 12:15 p.m. for the PM session.
• You must exit your car to sign your child in each day.

AM Session Pick-Up Procedures:

• You will pick up your child at the kindergarten/preschool  gate promptly at 11:15 a.m.
• You must exit your car to sign your child out each day.

PM Session Pick-Up Procedures:

• PM pick up is at the  kindergarten/preschool  gate at 2:45 PM.  
• You must exit your car to sign your child out each day.
• Going through the K-8th grade student drive-thru pick-up line is not available for Preschool.
