Marano, Sara

Hello Families! My name is Sara Marano, or as known to your child, Mrs. Marano. I am a native of Arizona and obtained both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Northern Arizona University. I have been teaching in the Deer Valley School District since 2004. I have taught 2nd grade, 1st grade, 3rd grade & was a Reading Specialist.

I enjoy teaching at the Traditional Academy at Bellair because of the structured learning environment, well-defined curriculum, established routines, and clear expectations. All of these provide a sense of order and allow me to focus on effectively delivering information to my students using familiar teaching methods and materials.

I have been married to my husband, Vince, since 2017 and we have our son, Bennett. We also have a wild lab puppy named Quinn and a feisty cat, named Tresse. While I am a native of Arizona, my husband is originally from Ohio. This means Saturdays are reserved for cheering on the scarlet & gray, Ohio State, and Sundays are usually spent disappointed when the Browns lose.

I love to be active. I enjoy everything from hiking & working out to shopping and spending quality time with family and friends.
