Hello and welcome to 2nd Grade! My name is Mrs. Bussiere. I am thrilled to be going into my twelfth year at Norterra Canyon teaching 2nd grade. This year will be filled with opportunities for learning, growth, and development in all areas. Our main focus will be on developing and extending both literacy and math skills. I hope to install the love of learning, reading, writing, and math in your child. With the support of both the school and home, your child will experience lots of success throughout the year.
About Me
My family moved from Canada to Phoenix in 2008, when my husband was transferred with his company. It took us a while to get used to the heat, but we've acclimatized. In January 2020 we became American citizens and are thrilled! We have two children: Jacqueline graduated from ASU and Matthew will be a Freshman at ASU. I have taught a variety of grade levels of over the past 20+ years including Kindergarten, 1st Grade, 2nd Grade, and 3rd Grade. I have also had the opportunity to be a Reading Specialist (K-3). As you can see, my love for teaching is at the primary grade levels. I am 100% invested in Norterra Canyon and super excited to be here!
